Pine Medical Group has 5 different specialty groups.
Family Practice
Family Practice providers work with patients of every age group. They care for the overall general health of their patients except in circumstances when a patient may require treatment from a specialist. Family Practice providers provide annual examinations and physicals for all ages, well-child exams, as well as treat the conditions of infections and viruses, the challenges of aging, and provide minor procedures such as mole and wart removals and things of that nature. Our Family Practice providers are all Board Certified and it is their extreme honor to serve the healthcare needs of the people of Newaygo County. Family Practice providers staff both of our offices.
Pediatrics
Pine Medical Group's pediatricians are dedicated to healthcare for the children of Newaygo County and the surrounding areas from birth to age 18. They treat children for well-child exams, times of illness such as infections and viruses, immunizations, delayed development disorders, behavioral and mental health disorders and provide a medical home for those with special healthcare needs. Both Pediatricians are Board Certified and truly enjoy devoting their time to caring for children.
Obstetrics & Gynecology
Obstetrics & Gynecology, or OB/Gyn, is the specialty relating to the female reproductive system. Pine Medical Group's OB/Gyn is Board Certified and treats females of all ages for annual pelvic exams, regular and high-risk prenatal care and delivery, infertility, female sterilization, birth control, hysterectomy/laparoscopy, and conditions related to pelvic pain and menopause.
Orthopaedic Surgery
Orthopaedics is a specialty which concentrates on the repair or treatment of injured or deformed bones and joints. They repair broken bones, torn cartilage, and a treat a variety of conditions related to the human skeleton. Pine Medical Group has a radiology suite onsite so patients can be x-rayed and treated by a Board Certified Orthopaedist in the same location.
General Surgery
Pine Medical Group's Board Certified General Surgeons perform a large variety of surgeries such as breast biopsies, mastectomies, appendectomies, bowel re-sections, bladder repair, hiatal hernia repair, anti-reflux, vein surgery, and many more. The large surgeries are performed at Gerber Memorial Health Services, but smaller procedures such as vasectomies and flexible sigmoidoscopies are performed onsite at Pine Medical Group.
