Orthopaedics is a specialty which concentrates on the repair or treatment of injured or deformed bones and joints. They repair broken bones, torn cartilage, and a treat a variety of conditions related to the human skeleton. Pine Medical Group has a radiology suite onsite so patients can be x-rayed and treated by a Board Certified Orthopaedist in the same location.

Dr. Brian Hood has been serving the Orthopaedic needs of Pine Medical Group’s patients in our Fremont office since July 2006. He graduated from Alma College and Michigan State University. He previously practiced at an office in Farmington, Michigan for six years. He now lives in Fremont and enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and their three children. |
Dr. Thomas Merritt joined the practice on January 19, 2009 with 32 years of surgical experience. He is a native of Ontario, Canada but spent the bulk of his career in Ohio and North Carolina. He and his wife chose to move to Michigan to be closer to their adult children. He looks forward to serving the orthopaedic needs of the patients of Newaygo County and the surrounding areas, as well as having more opportunities to spend time with his family.
